The Overtone Choir UK

Paul Terrell & Ravi Freeman
aka. The Overtone Choir UK
have been creating and performing concerts of overtone singing since 1997.
CDs
Sound & Light            1998
Spirals                        2000
Live at Old Church     2009

Music from these CDs has appeared in the award winning films, Touching the Void, Sherpa, Limits of Belief and Three Miles North of Molkom.
The collaboration of Paul Terrell and Ravi Freeman in The Overtone Choir UK resulted in a new signature sound in the world of overtone chanting. The layered voices combined with strings, flutes, gongs, bowls, bells and percussion create “ supernatural and spellbinding soundscapes that enchant and captivate like messages from beyond”. The Overtone Choir have been performing live concerts in the UK and Europe, recording and also teaching the technique of Western Overtone Singing since 1997.
Justin Freeman (aka RAVI)  was described by Songlines Magazine as "a walking testament to the success of multicuturalism" and performs with kora (West African harp), guitar and overtone singing.  Since 1985 Ravi has released over 20 CDs, given concerts and led workshops internationaly, created the unique electric/stereo kora, worked with luminaries such as Baaba Maal, Nigel Kennedy & Jon Lord (of Deep Purple) and created pioneering projects such as  "Neuneneu" with Brazilian legend Marlui Miranda, that brought Amazon indians on a tour of Europe, his band KORA COLOURS and The Overtone Project with Paul Terrell. Concerts with Ravi include his inspiring original songs, mantras from around the world and lots of audience participation. www.koratone.com
